My biggest pet peeve lately is when people assume that they have something before they do. I.e. I cannot stand when people assume that they are automatically into the Disney College Program before acceptances go out. Not everyone gets accepted. I know plenty of people who were rejected, and no they are not flunkees or drug dealers or criminals. They were qualified students. So seeing these people creating DCP tumblrs and twitters and putting “CP” in their names before they have even been accepted, makes me feel ill actually. If I am ever in a position within Disney to contribute to the hiring of CP’s, I would definitely do some social media searching and reject anyone guilty of that. People who make assumptions need to learn that that is not okay.
Hey everyone! I’m not on tumblr that much, but I thought I’d do a quick post about the Disney College Program.
I’m a merch CP for Fall 2012 starting August 29th! Cannot wait :) I cannot believe that it’s finally almost time.
I remember being so nervous and having a lot of questions when I applied. Since applications for the Spring 2013 program are coming out soon, I know that there are probably some of you that are as nervous as I was. So, if you have any questions (Seriously ANYTHING, no matter how insignificant) about the application or interview process, please feel free to ask me, and I will do my best to answer it. I love talking about the Disney College Program, or anything Disney really :)
Thanks! What roles are you hoping for? My top three were merch, attractions, and qsfb and I got my acceptance for merch in 48 hours :)
